The Honors Blog inspires creativity with monthly prompts and publishes independent student series on all sorts of topics ranging from sports to cinema to history!
Honorable Mentions
Honorable Mentions is a quarterly magazine created by Honors students, for Honors students. We accept non-fiction pieces, creative writing, artworks, and more!
Inside Honors
Inside Honors is a yearly newsletter published for alumni and faculty. Students can submit pieces such as professor interviews, class reviews, coverage about Honors events, and more.

Publishing your work in a collegiate publication awards you a number of benefits, both intrinsic and extrinsic!
Earn Honors Points
For every submission you make to an Honors publication, you earn 1 Honors Point! Earning Honors Points is how you achieve Honors Partnership (a necessary tier for Honors Distinction). Learn more about Honors Points and Honors Distinction here.
Earn Honors Leadership
Contributing consistently to Honors publications opens up a route to earn Honors Leadership, a necessary tier to Honors Distinction! Students who contribute 10 total submissions to any combination of our three publications earn Honors Leadership. Learn more about Honors Leadership and Honors Distinction here.
Add to Your Resume
Being featured in a collegiate publication is a great way to build up your resume and can offer some interesting experience to bring to interviews. Contributing to Honors’ publications is also a great way to build up graphic design portfolios, journalism portfolios, or create examples of your work for any field you may be interested in pursuing.
Dedicate Time to Your Interests
Between classes, work, studying, and more, it can be hard to find time to devote to your passions. Be part of the Honors publications community can help you carve out dedicated time to pursue your interests and hobbies. Creating a blog series can encourage you to dedicate regular commitment to your creations, whereas publishing a single article or artwork a quarter in Honorable Mentions is a low-commitment way to make a bit of time for your interests.
