Ella is a sophomore Writing and Rhetoric major with a minor in Creative Writing, and she has been on the Dean’s List every quarter of her college career thus far. She’s a musician and songwriter (which she posts to her Tiktok, @its.ella) and a big fan of Taylor Swift. She’s excited to be an Honorable Mentions editor because “I’m excited to read all the student submissions! One thing I’ve loved about my writing classes at DePaul has been getting to read some of my classmates’ work, so I’m eager to see the variety of writing that comes with Honorable Mentions.“

Abby is an Animation major, and she has written the novel Song of the Stars to be published later this year! She enjoys dancing and music and is part of the musical theatre team for DePaul’s Dance Company. She’s excited to be an Honorable Mentions editor because “I hope to increase student involvement with the newsletter both in terms of contributions and readership. I want to create a platform for students to share their diverse and authentic stories, opinions, and more with each other.”
