Students – Join Honors Student Cal Timmers and the Poetry Collective for Honors’ first-ever poetry slam, Demon Slam! This event is open to all students, not just Honors, so bring your friends – the more, the merrier.
Interested, but new to slam poetry? Attend one or both of the workshops happening on Oct. 22 from 4:30 – 6 PM in Arts & Letters Room 209.
Never done a poetry slam before and want some practice before officially taking the stage? Join us for – “Un-Slam”! An “Un-Slam” is your chance to practice your material, get feedback, and hear what other poets are working on before the big day! Come prep at the Un-Slam and be prepared to participate in the November’s first official Demon Slam!
Want to practice your poetry before the official slam? Join us for the Un-Slam Practice on Oct. 29 from 4:30 – 6 PM in Arts & Letters Room 209.
Finally, come join us for the first-ever competitive Demon Slam taking place November 5th, from 7 – 10 PM in SAC 161!
Absolutely everyone is welcome – and no experience is required! Honors students will get a point for every event they attend with proof of attendance.
