What is the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program?
With Inside Out, you will take a class for Honors experiential learning credit taught by DePaul professor Dr. Mindy Kalchman. What makes this class unique is that you will take this course inside of the Cook County Jail alongside other students who are earning their college degrees while incarcerated. Through the Inside Out Program, you will engage in dialogue across profound social differences and experience how this unique Program actively promotes social change.

EDU 225: Doing Math Agency for Personal Growth and Social Change will be taught in Fall 2026 by Dr. Mindy Kalchman on Mondays from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Cook County Jail
How do I enroll in an Inside Out class?
To enroll in a class taught in conjunction with the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program, you must email the Professor to submit an application. If you are interested, email as soon as possible! There is a limited number of seats in this course!
