| DePaul’s Vincentian Endowment Fund (VEF) will be accepting proposals for VEF Principal Grants from Monday, February 2nd through Monday, March 2, 2026. |
The Vincentian Endowment Fund (VEF) was designed to enhance and sustain the Catholic, Vincentian mission of DePaul University. Project proposals must articulate a clear connection to DePaul’s mission, core values and commitments and Vincentian heritage and put DePaul’s mission into practice in concrete ways. Proposals may be submitted by faculty, staff, and students.
Wondering where the grant can be used?
Past grants have included integration of mission into course content and area team building, faculty research, conferences, social justice and community service efforts in Chicago, and pilot programs seeking to establish a proof of concept.
VEF Principal Grants – any grant proposal over $2,000 -are awarded once per year, are non-renewable, and typically range from $2,000 to up to $10,000. In some instances, multi-year and larger grants have been awarded for compelling projects clearly tied to advancing DePaul’s mission.
Applications for VEF Principal Grants will be accepted from Monday, February 2nd, through Monday, March 2nd at 11:59pm. Funding becomes available for accepted grant proposals July 1, 2026. More details about Principal VEF Grants can be found on the Mission and Ministry website.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend a VEF Info Session to ask questions and learn more about the application process. Info sessions will be offered on Zoom at the following times:
· Thursday, February 5th from 4:00 – 5:00pm
· Monday, February 9th from 11:30am – 12:30pm

VEF DISCRETIONARY GRANTS
Discretionary Grants (under $2,000) are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year until available funds are exhausted for that particular fiscal year. Funds typically must be spent during the fiscal year in which they are awarded. More information about the VEF Discretionary Grant Application process can be found on the Mission and Ministry website.
Note: VEF Discretionary Grants have been exhausted for this fiscal year but will re-open on July 1, 2026.
