We all remember how nerve-wracking that first day on campus can be as a new freshman, but we also know that a friendly smile, word of encouragement, or helpful stranger can help to turn our first-day anxiety into excitement! Be that kind guide for an incoming Honors student by serving as an Honors Welcome Leader! Meet the new Honors freshman class of DePaul, connect with incoming students in your college or major, and offer words of advice and much-appreciated guidance at Honors Welcome!
Honors welcome is Tuesday, September 9 from 8:30-1:00pm. It is a day for every new Honors freshman to come to campus, meet their Honors cohort, and connect with YOU, an older student in their major, to help them acclimate and ease into DePaul before the first day of school. You’ll answer questions about DePaul and classes, give advice like favorite study spots or things you wish you knew as a freshman, and make their transition to college a meaningful and successful one! We still need students from Film & Television, Computer Science, SOM, and TTS to serve as Honors Welcome Leaders!
Interested? Email Priscilla Bautista at pbautist@depaul.edu no later than Thursday, July 10.
All Honors Welcome Leaders will earn Honors Leadership, a necessary tier for Honors Distinction.
