The Honors Program is looking for student leaders living in the Honors Living Learning Community!
Honors LLC Representatives serve an important role in shaping the Honors LLC community. Representatives plan and host opportunities that enhance the residential experience for Honors LLC residents. Exceptional candidates are enthusiastic about getting to know their peers and building community among them. Candidates should also have the availability to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Host Honors LLC study sessions during midterm and finals weeks
- Plan and host at least 1 quarterly event for the Honors LLC that focuses on at least one of the following themes:
- Community building
- Info sharing (relevant to the Honors Program and/or DePaul)
- Participation in co-curricular activities sponsored by Honors
- Serve as a liaison between the Honors LLC and the Honors Student Government
- Participate in Honors Student Government and encourage residents’ participation
- Promote opportunities sponsored by the Honors Program and HSG, by posting flyers (provided by the Honors Program) on the Honors LLC floor(s)
- Stay informed with HSG’s Service, Social, and Academic Committees to encourage service, social, and academic engagement
- Assist Honors Ambassadors with prospective student visits and inquiries
- Provide the Honors Program staff with feedback about the Honors LLC
- Attend online LLC Rep check-ins as needed
- Maintain communication with the Assistant Director of Student Engagement, Priscilla Bautista
Interested students must be a resident of the Honors LLC in Ozanam Hall.
To apply, please submit a statement explaining your interest in the Honors LLC Representative position, your qualifications, why you think you’d be a great candidate, and ideas you have for the LLC this academic year.
Please include your first and last name, DePaul ID number, and DePaul email in the header of your statement and send it to hsgdpu@gmail.com by 5pm on Tuesday, September 26th.
If selected, please plan to attend the next Honors Student Government meeting on Friday, October 6th at 2:30 p.m. in Arts & Letters 207 to introduce yourself and briefly share your ideas for the Honors LLC this year.
