Dr. Fernando De Maio on Health and Social Justice

Tuesday, April 13th at 5:00 pm CDT. Attendance will earn one Honors Point.

Dr. Fernando De Maio, Professor of Sociology, will draw upon his expertise in medical sociology and social epidemiology to discuss the current state of inequity in health care. Dr. De Maio is the author and co-editor of numerous books on global and US health inequities. He is a founding co-director of the DePaul – Rush Center for Community Health Equity and currently serves as director of research and data use at the American Medical Association’s Center for Health Equity.
