The DePaul Latinx Cultural Center and the Center for Latino Research are proud to announce this quarter’s Latinx Book Club – They will be reading “A South Side Girl’s Guide to Love and Sex: Poems” by 2026 Chicago Poet Laureate Mayda del Valle.
The book club will meet on October 14th in preparation for the author’s visit on November 4th. The book club will meet from 4:30 – 5:30pm at the Center for Latino Research (SAC 5 A-H), and the author will be visiting DePaul on November 4th.
The first 15 students who register will receive a free copy of the book. Students who receive a free copy of the book will be required to attend all the discussion meetings. Faculty and staff are welcome to participate, but the book club will center on student voices.
