Calling all students in Honors Housing: Run to serve as the Honors LLC Rep!

Honors Living Learning Community Representatives (LLC Reps) support the co-curricular mission of the Honors Program by planning and hosting events that foster community building, information sharing, and student engagement – enhancing the residential experience for Honors students in Ozanam Hall or McCabe Hall. LLC Reps also organize quarterly study sessions during midterms and finals. This opportunity is open to students in the First-Year Honors LLC and the Continuing Honors LLC.

Applications are due Sunday, September 20 at 11:59 PM.

Only students currently living in either First-Year Honors LLC or the Continuing Honors LLC are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and host a total of three quarterly events for the Honors LLC that focuses on at least one of the following:
  • Building community among Honors LLC residents.
  • Sharing information relevant to the Honors Program and/or DePaul.
  • Participation in Honors Program or campus-wide events and activities
  • One of the three events must be a finals study night.
• Serve as a liaison between the Honors LLC and the Honors Program.
• Encourage participation in Honors Program co-curricular activities.
• Promote Honors Program co-curricular opportunities by picking up flyers from the Honors Office and  posting them on the Honors LLC floors
• Attend online LLC Rep check-ins as needed.
• Maintain communication with, and report concerns to, the Assistant Director Mary Kate Turek, marykate.turek@depaul.edu utist@depaul.edu.

LLC Reps earn Honors Leadership upon successful completion of the responsibilities outlined above.

A minimum of two First-Year Honors LLC Reps and two Continuing Honors LLC Reps will be elected to serve during the 2025-2026 academic year. All Honors LLC residents will receive an email with instructions on how to cast their votes. Elected LLC Reps will be notified via email, included in the Honors Weekly Announcements email, and listed on dpuhonors.com.

Serving as an LLC Rep earns Honors Leadership.

In order to achieve the Leadership milestone, you must successfully fulfill the above responsibilities each quarter.
