Honors Ambassadors represent the Honors Program to current high school seniors considering coming to DePaul and joining the Honors Program. Ambassadors have one-on-one conversations with perspective students, share their student perspective at in-person and virtual information sessions, and help perspective students decide if DePaul and Honors is right for them!

About the Role:
Honors Ambassadors are current DePaul Honors students who connect with prospective students interested in learning about the Honors Program and life at DePaul. Prospective students are usually high school seniors deciding where they want to go to college next year, although they can be current college students considering transferring to DePaul. Ambassadors will be connected to these prospective students via a DePaul Honors staff member. Once connected with a prospective student, they will be responsible for reaching out in a welcoming manner, setting up a time to chat with the student (either via email, zoom, or even an in-person meeting in the Honors Student Lounge), and then lead a conversation with a student. They will talk about their favorite Honors classes, the benefits they have derived from the Honors Program, their favorite parts about DePaul University and Chicago, and generally represent both DePaul and Honors in a positive, welcoming light. Honors Ambassadors will also be expected to occasionally assist with in-person and virtual Honors Information Sessions.
Students must apply and interview for this position. If selected for an interview, you will be notified after applications close.
Serving as an Honors Ambassador earns Honors Leadership.
In order to achieve the Leadership milestone, Honors Ambassadors must perform a minimum of three student conversations or information sessions in an academic year.
