I run my fingers through the sand
my palms are pale,
for the sun has gone cold.
the water laps at my feet, and the sand clings to it all
i hold my hands at the shore, my friends clamoring behind me
the wind batters but i stand firm,
warm inside despite the chill whistling through the air.
the click click of the camera sets this moment in stone
and i hold my head high,
because I am no longer alone.

settle down
walk around
stand up
sit down.
wash your hands in the filth
it’ll make you stronger.
the sky blooms red
like the cosmos bleed;
My Rage Does not end.
infinity draws nigh,
the end is near
but i climb so high it doesn’t even matter
am i above it all or is it all above me?
i don’t understand, even when it is
explained to me
i scrub my hands raw
and the universe bleeds in
hopefully it will absolve me of the pain that lies within

the grass crackles under my feet as i watch people pass me by. i find a spot to hide behind a thick tree and rest my hands on its rough bark. children laugh and play, their voices overlapping on this beautiful day. something within me heals as i lie in wait, peering around me watchfully. the sun’s warmth surrounds me like a comforting embrace and i feel like a kid again.

stages of life can be so consuming
sometimes you don’t even appreciate them at all.
the rose bud forms,
blooms,
and wilts
and in mere days, it is gone.
all is left is the spikes
the stem
and the wilted petals that crackle and turn brown.
my fingers grasp the stem till they bleed,
red rivulets dripping
down and down
and down again
So I let go.
petals falling freely,
i don’t wanna be me
the blood turns to rain and i feel so deeply
till nothing even blooms within me
Anymore.
