Forging my own path,
yes I will
I will do what is right for me,
Fight in my own way
Find freedom in my own experience, Without judgement from another.
I will make mistakes and falter but that is what makes me human.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i look in the mirror and see someone who looks more like me than before
i love the feeling
i step outside into the crisp, cool air the sun beating down on my skin
i feel so free
i yap along with the people i call home i could sit for hours talking
about nothing and everything all at once
i smile, and my heart warms, joy
swelling within me.
I couldn’t ask for much more
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
locked away once more, life
becomes such a chore.
there’s almost nothing here,
that I hold so dear
this stress looms over me,
until i no longer feel free.
what must i do to get through and survive
break the chain and make it out alive
all i can do is strive,
hope that this broken rhyme will help me through and
allow me to come out the other side.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hold tight and
My arms feel light and
It’s gonna be alright and
The sky’s so bright and
This is my life and
I have to fight,
I don’t feel alright so I
Fight and fight and fight
But I feel alright.
Now I don’t have to fight.
The world is so bright and
my body is so light. My tears
aren’t full of fright I
look in the mirror and I feel
Alright.
