Virtual Book Club: Dead Man Walking

Please join DePaul Special Collections and Archives for a shared reading experience. Registration ends Monday, February 23rd! Free copies will go to the first 40 students who register on DeHUB!

Students who receive a free copy are expected to attend at least one event surrounding Sister Helen Prejean’s visit in April. Options include a film screening at the library, an archives exhibit, and a panel about art as a tool for justice.

Dead Man Walking is the story of Sister Helen Prejean’s work advocating for people on death row. I work with DePaul Special Collections and Archives, where we hold Sister Helen’s archival records. SPCA is launching a virtual book club to celebrate the release of the new Dead Man Walking graphic novel. Students who join will receive a free copy of the book, read at their own pace, and are invited to attend one of our in-person discussion meetings.
