NCHC Research Conference: Travel to New Orleans!

Present your best undergraduate research in New Orleans at the NCHC Research Conference! Submit Honors research or any faculty-sponsored research.

Apply by March 1!

Apply to represent the DePaul Honors Program at the National Collegiate Honors Council Research Conference next November in New Orleans! We want to showcase our best student research, including work done by Honors students in their majors. If you are accepted by the NCHC, DePaul will cover your registration and travel expenses.

Students interested in applying for this opportunity must submit abstract explaining the research paper or project that they would like to present in New Orleans. Selected students will work with Honors faculty and staff to create a poster articulating their research. Then, in November of 2026, selected students will travel with Honors faculty and staff to New Orleans to present their best undergraduate research work at the 2026 NCHC Conference.

Requirements:

• Full-time enrollment at DePaul next Fall 2026.
• Ability to travel to New Orleans in November 2026 (DePaul will pay for airfare and hotel).
• Ability to complete research and create a poster by November 2026.
• Project title
• 200-word abstract
• A timeline for completing the project if the research is not already complete
• The name and email address for a faculty sponsor who can attest to the quality of your work and/or supervise your research.  If your research was completed for a course, you can list the professor who taught that course.

All student research is eligible for submission, including theses written for major requirements.  Students planning to complete the Honors senior thesis in Fall 2026 do not need to have completed any research before applying for the conference; however, students without completed research must present a clear timeline for completion and the name of a faculty supervisor who can verify the viability of the project.
