his end goal is to marry a woman. not me, the one he loves, or anyone like me
a woman
what’s so scary about the last three letters of that word?
if he craves her touch then i’ll wear her skin strip her nails from their nail beds gut her from the inside out
wear her organs as if they were mine but i still wouldn’t be a woman.
would i need her soul, her mind, her life essences? unfortunately for him to be with me… i would’ve had to be born as..
a woman
what stops you and me from being us are those last three letters of that word they make up my existence. i love you. and you love me.
but i don’t have those two extra letters in front to describe who i am
so im sorry, sorry that i’m not..
a woman

Hello! My name is Jayvion Cunningham, and I’m currently a sophomore double majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development and Film with a concentration in Screenwriting. My career goal is to establish a private practice after I get my master’s as a child and marriage therapist, while also pursuing screenwriting and writing movies on the side. My goal in this series is to delve into the emotional recession individuals experience due to unique circumstances with each piece exploring how specific factors contribute to a decline in their mental health. Every publication will focus on a different aspect of this recession, allowing for a diverse range of stories. I think this topic resonates me and my progression towards my psych degree as it reflects my interest in how mind works when it comes to the aspect of mental health.
