The Honors Program and Department of English invite you to meet up-and-coming author Avery Cunningham!

Cunningham, an Alum of both DePaul and the Honors Program, recently published her debut novel The Mayor of Maxwell Street: a stunning novel that is at once an unforgettable love story for the ages, a riveting historical drama, and a brilliant exploration of Black Society and perserverence when the ‘20s first began to roar.
Cunningham will read an excerpt from her novel, discuss her inspiration and writing process, and answer any questions from the audience.
We will also being auctioning off three signed copies of the book to those who attend!
