Last Night and the Night Before at Steppenwolf

Join us on May 4th to see Steppenwolf Theatre’s production of Last Night and the Night Before by Donnetta Lavinia Grays! We will be meeting in the lobby of Arts & Letters at 6:50 before traveling to Steppenwolf as a group. The performance begins at 8:00 and tickets will be distributed at the theatre.

About Last Night and the Night Before:

Monique and her daughter Sam are on the run. From what, they will not say. Showing up on their family’s doorstep in Brooklyn, the surprise visit raises more questions than it answers. As the specter of their abandoned life in Georgia creeps back into focus, the family is forced to consider what must be sacrificed to raise a child in an often-cruel world. Donnetta Lavinia Grays’s heartbreaking and poetic portrait of love–Black, queer, familial–is a bold tribute to the enduring promise of tomorrow.

Tickets are limited. Please RSVP only if you are able to attend, and update your RSVP if your plans change so that we may offer your ticket to another student. Students who do not show may become ineligible to attend future Honors Program events.
