Abstract: America has become divided with aggression rising between the left and the right. Concern about whether America is on the brink of revolution rises. Some dismiss this entirely, arguing its unlikeliness; while others argue its inevitability. By analyzing sociological examinations of past revolutions, Emma identified similar conditions in countries pre-revolution. Her findings were four elements: eliminating intermediate groups, creating civil religion, bourgeoisie revolution, and violence. After synthesizing this list she found its contents present in America. By examining current events she found the far right has produced these factors. She concludes: the far right could overthrow the United States’ government.
