Honorable Mentions Open Mic Night
October 29, 2025 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Join the Honors Program for a Halloween-themed Open Mic Night! Hosted by the editors of Honorable Mentions, this will be a spooky night to celebrate the writing, poetry, music, and creativity of Honors students. Enjoy some cozy fall snacks and drinks (and of course plenty of Halloween candy) and listen to the talented student performers (or consider taking the stage yourself!).
You are welcome to attend solely as a spectator, or perform a piece at the open mic. Any student in the Honors Program is invited to sign up to take the mic and perform!
Performers will be asked to keep their pieces to around 5 minutes. Performers are also encouraged to stick to a spooky, macabre, or Halloween theme! Ideas for pieces can include (but are not limited to) original poetry, short stories, personal essays, music, stand up, and more.
